The Final 1%

So, there was a big push, then a deep breath. We are 99% done, but as everyone knows, that last 1% can present a big hurdle. Yesterday, work continued to tighten the house up (sealing work in the basement) and install the heating system. Today, we had a LEED for Homes inspection and the final lead inspection took place. Over the next few days, 5 private showings are scheduled! So, we're working as fast as we can to get all the little finishing touches done, particularly the really visible ones - For example, finishing the shower caulking and tub plumbing in the upstairs bathroom.

Meanwhile, we still have some work to do for the LEED certification. There's some more tightening up to be done on the sealing, and a blower door test is scheduled for next week. And there's still a bit of paperwork, but we're making steady progress...

The electrician is scheduled for Monday to hook up the heating system and finish all the electrical work. And, now that it's warm, we are going to start seeding our drought tolerant, low mow eco-grass.

That's the scoop!
